Governance structure

MASO is governed by a management committee that provides strategic oversight, financial accountability, and safeguarding assurance.

  • Management Committee — Sets strategy, approves budgets, reviews safeguarding
  • Programme Team — Delivers activities, tracks attendance and outcomes
  • Safeguarding Team — Oversees child protection, referrals, and incident response
  • Finance & Admin — Manages funds, reporting, and donor communications
  • Volunteer Network — 35+ trained community members delivering frontline activities

How decisions are made

Major decisions (budgets, new partnerships, policy changes) are approved by the management committee.

Programme decisions are made by coordinators in consultation with school partners and families.

Safeguarding concerns are escalated immediately to the designated safeguarding lead.
